Rockefeller's Restaurant Featured in Chef John Folse's New Cookbook

Ponchatoula’s Rockefeller’s Restaurant has, according to owner Dr. Robert Benson, made a quantum leap in South Louisiana’s culinary industry by being featured in Chef John Folse’s newest cookbook, Hooks, Lies, and Alibis. This 899 page volume, which contains recipes from all the iconic seafood restaurants and chefs in the area of the US famous for its flavorful cuisine, contains three of Rockefeller’s signature dishes—Redfish Mardi Gras, Oysters Benson, and Strawberry Angelique, a Paula Deen favorite. Hooks, Lies, and Alibis also features pictures of Chefs Lester Nicosia, Tommy Bond, and Chris Letard, who collaborated to create the original recipes. Because this publication of South Louisiana's premier seafood cuisine is a reference book authored by one of the country’s most renowned chefs, Rockefeller’s name and recipes will be in the libraries of culinary schools throughout the world.

PAULA DEEN VISITS ROCKEFELLER'S RESTAURANT...AGAIN!

PAULA DEEN VISITS ROCKEFELLER'S RESTAURANT...AGAIN! PhotoBringing back once again the same southern charm and captivating smile as during her 2008 visit, Food Network icon Paula Deen recently dined at Rockefeller's Restaurant in Ponchatoua after which owner Dr. Robert Benson proclaimed her a "Rock's regular." "She couldn't have been a more gracious, approachable person," stated Benson, noting that she enjoyed Trout Mardi Gras and Rockefeller's well-known Baby Back Ribs along with husband Michael, brother-in-law Rev. Hank Gruber, and other family members.  Afterwards, Ms Deen greeted delighted patrons and posed for pictures.
